Missions

Beacon Baptist Church (BBC) believes in the clear and unmistakable command in Scripture to preach and teach the gospel of Jesus Christ. (Matthew 28:19,20; Mark 16:15; Acts 1:8) It is our firm conviction that this commission was given specifically to the local church. Therefore, it is our responsibility to spread the gospel where we are geographically located, as well as to all other nations, peoples, communities, and groups both near and far. Hence, in compliance with the command of the word of God, the local church is privileged to support those who are called and sent of God to souls which cannot be directly reached (Acts 13:1-3; 14:26,27; Philippians 4:10-18; 2 Corinthians 11:8,9).

Through prayerful and financial support of these individuals and ministries, BBC endeavors to convey the good news of the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ to those who are in “the regions beyond” our immediate reach.

Apart from the local missions work of BBC in Horry County, BBC currently supports 16 missionaries, evangelists, and ministries focusing on:

– Children in private, public, and alternative schools; children’s homes, juvenile centers, and prisons

– Teens of America

– Troubled Boys (Fruitful hill Ministries)

– Fundamental Baptist World-wide Missions (General Director Peart)

– Hispanics in Chesapeake, VA

– Underground Work

– Trinidad

– Philippines

– Mozambique

– Portugal

– Netherlands

– Togo

– South Africa

– Mexico

– Thailand

– Legal helps to Christians and churches across America (CLA)

BBC is ever trusting the Lord to develop and expand its missions program by the support of new missionaries. As He directs we will continue to further our efforts to give His message of salvation to the world through missions.
